Dr. Pernoud has practiced Oral and Maxillofacial surgery since 1981. His
career in private practice has been distinguished by his professional
appointments, his leadership and commitment to local and national dental
organizations and by his role as an clinical practitioner and educator.
After attending St. Louis University from 1969-1973, Dr. Pernoud
continued on to the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of
Dental Medicine from 1973- 1977. Dr. Pernoud completed an internship in
General Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. His residency in Oral
and Maxillofacial surgery at Washington University from 1979-1981. Dr.
Pernoud also took many extra steps and received the American Board of
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Missouri Specialty Board in Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as a number of different licenses
including anesthesia.
Dr. Pernoud is actively involved in many local and national professional
organizations, which include being a Diplomat to the American Board of
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the St. Louis Association of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgeons. International Society of Plastic, Aesthetic, and
Reconstructive Surgery, and the Society of Permanent Cosmetic
Professionals. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the
Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society.
Dr. Pernoud's leadership and commitment to dentistry is evident in his
active involvement as an educator. He has given a number of speeches and
presentations including CBS television, Meramec Valley Dental Study
Club, Jefferson Memorial Hospital Staff and Emergency Room Staff,
Sikeston Hospital
